For the
first weekend of my new blog I am picking a treble from the premier league. First
game I picked is Norwich – Brighton, here I am going for Brighton to win. Both
of these teams played against my beloved Arsenal since the restart and Brighton
seemed to be the sharper one. Norwich just seems to have given up. They put up
a fight against Man U in the cup, because it was their only goal for the end of
the season, but even that did not look good. The Norwich players have given up
on the league and I believe that Brighton is strong enough to capitalize on
this. There is a small threat of a 0-0 if Brighton have an off day, so that
might be worth securing.
For
second game I am looking at Newcastle – West Ham on Sunday. I am picking
Newcastle and that might be a surprise to some with West Ham surprisingly beating
Chelsea during the week (which I called and made some winnings off) and my
reasoning here is that West Ham is the most uneven team in the league and I do
not see them winning two games in a row. On top of this Newcastle specializes in
beating teams below them and getting whipped by the teams above them. Again,
there is a chance for a draw, but I am willing to risk it.
For the
third game I wanted to take one of the big teams to slightly boost up my odds.
I am going with Liverpool beating Aston Villa. Man City gave Liverpool a royal beating
midweek and even with the title already in the bag they will want to show up on
Sunday. With 1.37 I believe that is good enough to round up my line.
