TOTAL SCORE 2W – 1L
Recap:
Last bet was close, with the treble failing on the draw by Newcastle and West
Ham. Looking back on the game I perhaps overestimated how much Newcastle has to
fight for as they are out of the relegation zone and the West Ham goals came
from sloppy defending. This is something that I must try to remember better
this time of the season as many teams have less to play for, like what happened
to Man City losing to Southampton on Sunday.
For the midweek
games I want to start with Tottenham – Everton. Both teams seem very uneven especially
Tottenham is very leaky at the back, which is surprising since they have pretty
much all the players healthy for Mourinho to decide his team from. Both teams
have had a disappointing season with the teams being 10th and 11th
currently and seemingly fallen from the race for the European places.
I am
going to make the bet a treble by adding Chelsea to beat Crystal Palace. Palace
came back from the break strong but have been very unimpressive in their last three
games and I am picking Chelsea to pick with the relatively nice odds of 1.49.
To fill
out the line I am taking my team Arsenal against Leicester on Tuesday. Arsenal
have been playing really well past few games keeping clean sheets in the two
last ones. I have no idea which way the game will go, but I have a strong
feeling that both of the teams will score, so I am going again with both teams
to score. Arsenal did give Wolves chances in the last game and I believe Vardy
will just run at David Luiz and cause enough trouble to merit a goal.

This week
my main bets are little on the safe side so I wanted to start a segment where I
choose a bigger surprise that I believe might be worth betting on. I will call
the segment JOKER and for this week’s JOKER I am taking Burnley to beat West
Ham. I have nothing against West Ham as a team and they have wonderful players,
but they are so inconsistent, and I have no faith in David Moyes as a manager.
Based on this and that they got two good results from their last matches, I have
a feeling that they will not be their sharpest against Burnley, who themselves are
sometimes unpredictable, but having beaten West Ham in their last two matches I
feel that the juicy odds of 3.95 are worth taking.
